Affiliate Disqualifying Criteria
While Rooms for Peace is founded upon the idea of widespread support for
many diverse non-profits engaged in peace-building works, we believe there
are certain characteristics that are not in alignment with our mission
- Engaging in or oriented around conflict of combative activities, such as military
exercises or full-contact sports
- Discrimination that excludes participation based on race, gender, generation, disability, sexual
orientation, religion, political affiliation, or socio-economic class
- Partisan political activity or affiliation
- Cultural arts and events that are not directly related to peace, either by topic
or promotion
- Exclusivity to members, such as clubs and religious organizations that serve members only
If your non-profit exhibits any of these characteristics in its primary mission
and operations, our Affiliate Review Board will likely reject your application.
If any are exhibited only incidentally or rarely (as with a community center that
happens to offer one contact sport among many activities), we're happy to discuss
the specifics with you.
